Abstract
Median sagittal section of the brain. The sequence of nerve impulses involved in typing a letter progresses from frontal cortex to the premotor cortex to the motor cortex, then down the brain stem to the spine and the muscles. The cerebellum monitors the muscle movement and insures the correct process. Reproduced with permission from Anatomy of the Human Body, by Henry Gray, Lea & Febiger, Philadelphia.
