Abstract
I am very angry. I have just had another interview with my child's teacher who wants me to keep after my daughter to pay more attention in school and to complete her homework assignments. I have no intention of doing that because the school instruction does not fit her high ability, and the homework is a joke. My daughter is very advanced — and much smarter than her classmates who have the poor manners to tease her and call her names. I see no point in her working at something which she already knows. She learns more by following her own interests which are more sophisticated than the school curriculum. The teacher does not even seem to want to meet her special needs and keeps talking about having to fit her in with everybody. Does that make any sense to you?
