Abstract
We are a group of parents of gifted children that has been meeting for over a year, and we need help! Our first meeting was so enthusiastic that we had high hopes, but subsequent meetings have left us increasingly frustrated, and attendance is dropping. We had a couple of people interested in legislation, but they don't seem to be getting anywhere. We have lost some parents of pre-schoolers who wanted to start their own school. And, frankly, I would not mind losing the father who wants to get his daughter's principal fired, but he shows up regularly and dominates the meeting. To make matters worse, I am beginning to feel that the others may be blaming me for our lack of progress because I was instrumental in getting them together. I am a hard worker and willing to do my best, but I don't know what comes next. I thought originally that getting a group together was the important thing, but obviously that is not enough. Where do we go from here?
