Two Grandmothers,Two Valedictorians,and Four Gifted Grandchildren: The Importance of Context,Personal Narratives,and Opportunity in Talent Development

Abstract

This article narrates the stories of two females who were born in the United States at about the same time in the early twentieth century and the influence of context in their talent development. The author points out the importance of providing educational opportunities and information to gifted students from diverse backgrounds.
