Individuals in the healing arts, especially physicians, have a difficult time in creating and gaining a sense of balance in their lives. This is especially true in the rapidly changing world of medicine where stability is questionable. Physicians must realize that they con-tribute to the imbalance with type A behaviors and tendencies toward overworking. To achieve a greater sense of balance, it is imperative that physicians seek a combination of physical well-being, emotional health, learning, and personal growth as well as spiritual growth. This should be done with family and friends to approach success.
