Abstract
Several developments are likely to have significant impact on scholarship in the field of law and economics in the future. These include, first, creation of a richer base of empirical work; second, development of theories in human decisionmaking which surpass the explanatory value of the rational choice model; and third, incorporation of equitable considerations into analyses of legal commands and institutions.
