Abstract
A record-breaking number of scientists, engineers, others interested in science, and science journalists convened in Seattle, Washington, February 12-16, 2004, to participate in a diverse array of seminars, symposia, plenary lectures, workshops, special events, and a first-ever two days of activities for parents and children. The occasion was the 2004 Annual Meeting and Science Innovation Exposition of the American Association for the Advancement of Science. Included in this report are some of the highlights of the meeting.
