Abstract
As part of the symposium “Cultivating the Civic Scientist” at the 2001 American Association for the Advancement of Science annual meeting, a panel of two science journalists and a scientist explored key issues surrounding the civic scientist concept. This panel discussion is based on part of that conversation.
