Abstract

Dear Readers,
Over the course of the next few years, we are planning to feature a series of articles under the heading of Cardiovascular Pharmacology Core Reviews. Each article will feature a review of a major class of cardiac drugs. These reviews will describe key information regarding the class of drugs and then provide updates that focus on what is new over the last several years—including information on key major clinical trials, new indications, new contraindications or warnings, and new entries into the market that have unique properties. We hope that you enjoy this series of articles. We are honored to begin this series with William H. Frishman, MD, article “β-Adrenergic Blockade in Cardiovascular Disease.”
