American business world. New books abound, just look at the surprising success of
Military leadership has been stereotyped by many authors and practitioners without knowing all the facts that surround the individual, mission objectives, and mission goals. Military leadership tends to be lumped into one great generalization of perceived style - a style that is considered "tainted" and not relevant to the civilian business world at large.
Let's not throw out the study of military leadership simply because we don't like the wartime environment or scenario. A study of the best [and the worst] can be used to everyone's benefit.
