The Fanning Leadership Center first became aware of the exciting research of Dr. Fritz Mengert when he presented the keynote address at a GACL Youth Leadership Conference at Clayton State in the fall of 1994. He writes the following thought-provoking article upon invitation and welcomes your feedback.
The primary life of the child is directed to becoming, which involves many processes which are educable and some of which are physical, growth-oriented, and modifiable only in secondary terms. The becoming of the cultural self, the intellectual self, and the social-familiar self are all integral parts of the "coming to be."
