Leadership instruction often makes extensive use of case studies. To be effective, the instructor needs to select cases which raise significant issues of leadership. Drawing on the work of Gardner, Rost, Burns, Roesner, and other leading scholars of leadership, a series of questions is posed to established criteria for the selection of cases.
