Abstract
In recent decades the global political economy has experienced some major restructuring, characterized by the emergence of regional trading blocs, cooperative adjustments within capitalism, stateless corporations, process oriented industries, and a value added notion of entrepreneurship. This paper aims to help leadership educators explore the underlying causes of these "megatrends."

Economic leaders of the 21st Century will be those individuals, organizations and institutions that empower people through partnership.
