Abstract
The Bureau's Human Factors research effort is part of the Industrial Hazards Research Program. The Bureau has adopted a broad view of human factors to include training and organizational-social research, as well as the traditional man/machine/work system. The Bureau is responsible for health and safety research for all underground and surface mines in the United States.
