Abstract
During the past five years we have supported the Electric Power Research Institute of Palo Alto in the Human Factors evaluation of nuclear fossil fuel electric generation plants and transmission and distribution centers throughout the United States. This included interviewing operators and maintainers, reviewing incidents associated with human errors, physical measurement of environmental conditions, direct observations of operator behavior, checklist evaluations, critical incident data gathering and structured discussions with vendors and their engineering staffs.
