Abstract
An Air Force Human Resources Laboratory (AFHRL) program is described whose goal is to improve Air Force team training technologies in the area of tactical command, control, and communications. The first step in such a program was an in-house literature review of the variables that appear significant in team training. The second step describes a contracted effort to establish baseline data through interviews, observations, and data analysis. Preliminary indications are listed in the areas of problems that can be alleviated with existing technology, high potential payoff candidates for additional research, and the role of simulation capabilities in noted problem areas. Future AFHRL plans are included.
