Abstract
Although determination of the proper fatigue allowance is of interest, job design is more important so fatigue effects are reduced. Avoid paced work. Night work and repetitive work—especially for socially isolated workers—seems to cause fatigue. Short breaks often seems better than long breaks occasionally. Passive rest is not as good as working and active rest.
