Characteristics of Holland's (1959, 1985/1992) six personal orientations were determined through construction of a table reporting multiple-domain data (interests, aptitudes, personality traits) collected from a sample of 547 career clients. The resulting table was used to test Lowman's (1991) Matrix of expected characteristics across Holland's types.
