We report a metanephric adenoma of the left kidney in a 70-year-old woman. The tumor was composed of closely packed, small tubules lined by oval tumor cells without atypia. Blastema elements were absent. Ultrastructural examination confirmed the epithelial nature of the neoplasm. Flow cytometric DNA content analysis showed a diploid histogram. The tumor was excised by radical nephrectomy, and the patient remains asymptomatic 10 months after surgery.
