Abstract
Calcifying fibrous tumor (CFT) is a rare benign mesenchymal neoplasm that has been documented at a variety of anatomic sites. The most common gastrointestinal sites include the stomach, small intestine, and colon, with only 2 examples reported in the pancreatic body. Herein, we report the first example of CFT involving the pancreatic head and review the literature of previous case reports of CFT in the pancreas. Furthermore, we discuss pathogenesis, histological features, ancillary testing, differential diagnosis, and prognosis of CFT.
