Dr. Walsh is the Mose and Sylvia Firestone Professor Emerita in the School of Social Service Administration and Department of Psychiatry, Pritzker School of Medicine, at the University of Chicago. She is the codirector and cofounder of the Chicago Center for Family Health. She is also a licensed clinical psychologist and an American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy approved supervisor. Her PhD is in human development and she is a prolific author, having authored over 120 books and articles.
