Abstract
This article reflects the author’s experience of the 2004 World Family Therapy Conference in Istanbul, Turkey. The conference theme, Families in a Time of Global Crisis, was linked to global issues. Sessions by professionals from various countries are reviewed by the author, including overviews of a Turkish women’s group for vaginismus, implementation of a counselor education program in northern Iraq, and details of a support group for survivors of terrorism in Israel. The author’s observations of audience participation are also included.
