Abstract
Satellite ground stations are crucial to space operations, yet the standardization of their systems and human-centered interfaces remains insufficient. This article highlights the importance of improving the design of operator interfaces and the challenges faced by operators in high-stakes environments. While AstroUX offers a structured approach to enhancing usability, its limitations prevent it from being fully effective in real-world scenarios. Further research is needed to understand the cognitive demands, workload, and performance factors of operators, which will ultimately help optimize their efficiency and reduce human error in satellite operations.
