Abstract
The Journal of Concurrent Engineering: Research and Applications (CERA) is a peer-reviewed engineering journal that has published the research of both academic and industry professionals related to simultaneous engineering paradigms in the context of product development for over 30 years.

For this issue related to Industry 4.0 and how it relates or uses Concurrent Engineering, we are especially interested in papers that examine and investigate the intersection of Industry 4.0 principles with concurrent engineering methodologies. Additionally, research, highlighting how smart manufacturing, IoT, and cloud applications influence concurrent engineering would be welcome, though more peripheral topics will also be considered or may be invited to submit to our standard copy flow if the paper falls within our scope: https://journals.sagepub.com/aims-scope/CER.
Once peer reviewed and if accepted, papers will be expertly and speedily processed through to online publication. Once we have a complete issue, the already published paper will be included in the completed issue, which we will print by the end of 2024.
