Call for Guest Editors/papers: AI-driven collaborative decision making in product development

The Journal of Concurrent Engineering: Research and Applications (CERA) is a peer-reviewed engineering journal that has published the research of both academic and industry professionals related to simultaneous engineering paradigms in the context of product development for over 30 years.

The journal is looking to commission a special issue of themed content related to the area of AI-Driven Collaborative Decision Making in Product Development. This exciting hot topic will suit the journal’s tradition of exploring the latest areas of research. We are looking for both a Guest Editor, or editors, and for authors who would like to submit a paper to what we are expecting to be a significant issue for the wider community. Papers for this editor will be expedited through the review process by our professional and dedicated editorial team.

Candidates for Guest Editor(s):

Potential Guest Editor, or editors, are encouraged to volunteer to curate this themed edition and assist the commissioning of a wide range of authors and topics within the area of AI-Driven Collaborative Decision Making in Product Development that represent the field to our extensive readership. The peer review process will be entirely conducted by our inhouse peer review team. Guest Editors will help to commission article submissions and advise on the scope or planning of the issue. Guest Editors will also prepare an editorial for the issue and are encouraged to submit their own research to the issue. Guest Editors may have one article they submit made free to access indefinitely. We hope to publish the completed issue by the end of 2024.

For authors submitting to the Special Issue:

For this issue related to collaborative decision making for the development of products using AI, we are especially interested in papers that examine the integration of artificial intelligence in concurrent engineering decision-making processes and research discussing or exploring the impact of AI on iterative methods and design process improvement, though more peripheral topics will also be considered or may be invited to submit to our standard copy flow if the paper falls within our scope: https://journals.sagepub.com/aims-scope/CER

Once peer reviewed and if accepted, papers will be expertly and speedily processed through to online publication. Once we have a complete issue, the already published paper will be included in the completed issue, which we will print by the end of 2024.

Future Special Issues:

We are currently hoping to explore the discipline and develop our areas of coverage by commissioning a series of special issues in exciting and fast-developing areas of interest. We hope to recruit experienced academics and industry professions to Guest Edit and curate our themed editions. We are currently also looking for Guests Editors for the subject of:

For those who are unable to assist with this, we are hoping to receive submitted articles related to the theme.
