Abstract
The authors have compiled an outline of information they feel the pharmaceutical industry is qualified and obligated to provide the clinical pharmacist. The information requested includes the knowledge most often required by the pharmacist to actively participate in and contribute to patient therapy.
The outline requests much information currently not available in product information or standard textbooks, e.g., pKa, inert ingredients, specific antidote.
If the pharmaceutical companies supplied the information requested in this outline, the clinical pharmacist would have virtually all the knowledge he needs in one convenient source.
