Abstract
A system of indexable imprinting on solid dosage forms is presented which would provide for rapid easy identification. If adopted by the pharmaceutical industry such an indexable system would provide safeguards for the patient by making it more difficult for him to take the wrong drug, would provide a means of rapid identification in case of overdose or poisoning, and would make identification more foolproof in the drug use process in the hospital, community pharmacy and home. The tabulation called IMPREX, already used to tabulate existing imprints and can contain The Adrian Code. Both are described and illustrated.
