Abstract
Over the past three years I was involved, along with some close colleagues, 1 in trying to identify trends and issues for OD in the 1980s. An important starting pointfor such prediction is a sound understanding of the present state of the field. Daniel Kegan provides some relevant data from a sample survey of Organization Develop ment Network members. Dr. Kegan has extensive OD consulting experience, having worked with business, educational, human service, and R&D organizations. He has published OD research studies and has taught at the university level. Dr. Kegan holds a B.S. in electrical engineering and a Ph.D. in organizational behavior from Northwestern University. He is a licensed psychologist in California and a regis tered psychologist in Massachusetts and is a senior partner with Elan Associates.
