Abstract
Roger M. Boisjoly was honored as the James T. Pursell, Sr. Distinguished Fellow in Management Ethics at Auburn University in January 2001, the fifteenth anniversary of the Challenger disaster. The interview with him and interviewer commentary include an explanation of the causes of the Challenger disaster, the ethics affecting the situation before and after the disaster, the role of heuristics in making the decision to launch Challenger, career advice for professionals on being ethical, and developing ethical organizational cultures.
