Paucity exists in the literature on uvular repair while documenting palatoplasty techniques for children with cleft palate.
Solution
We propose a modified approach without losing any soft tissue structures, gaining better cosmetic outcome, and possibly having functional gains postoperatively.
What we did that is new
The proposed technique provides better cosmesis for the structures postoperatively and enhances the palatoglossal arch, which may prevent the spillage of saliva to the oropharyngeal region.
