Abstract
It has been written that meaning, will power and determination can extend one's life. This article reflects on a true case that one can lengthen their life, even when diagnosed with a life defining disease, given purpose and meaning. This is also the story of one clergyperson's struggles and emotions in assisting in that journey to reach a milestone moment in this person's life. This article is significant, for it reminds all people in the helping professions that he/she can help buoy another's spirit during difficult times, and we can be of assistance in giving hope and faith even when there seems to be none.
