Abstract
Self-esteem has become an educational buzzword for the 80's. Considering the current trend it seems appropriate to take another look at adventure-based education and its influence on self-esteem. It doesn't take teams of researchers and a powerful computer to see students feel better about themselves after completing a challenging task. However, this type of observation is not acceptable to the research community since it is not quantifiable nor does it meet criteria for valid research. This study attempts to fill the “gaps” left by previous research regarding subjects and method; and obtain the same results which will give further credence to past work and a valid base for future research.
