The book is divided into five sections that focus on theoretical perspectives, health benefits, tools and techniques, fieldwork, and overcoming educational barriers. Findings: The topics represent a diverse and sophisticated range of teaching techniques, a wide variety of settings and locations, and contributing authors from many academic fields. Implications: By acknowledging that outdoor education does not have to take place in natural settings and focusing on twenty-first-century tools and challenges, this book offers timely perspectives and strategies for experiential educators.
