Abstract
A major challenge in the field of early intervention is to develop strategies for collaboration across programs, agencies, and disciplines. This article presents one model for bringing together diverse community members to learn about and collaborate on early childhood inclusion. The history and critical features of community forums are described along with basic principles of community change supporting the model. Participants' demographic data and their satisfaction with the forum are reported for the 1,647 people who completed evaluation forms out of more than 2,000 attending 36 forums during 1992-95.
