Much time is spent in courses building connections, interpersonal trust, and community within the classroom context. The term's end shatters that sense of community, often leaving students and faculty alike with a felt void as the change to new activities begins. This article offers perspectives on managing separation transitions as well as providing a number of alternative ways to do so.
