Abstract
An alternative approach to teaching management is described, in which students are rotated as managers in the class's organization that has been created to develop, produce, and distribute to class members a university student survival guide. This method, similar to behavioral simulations and "classroom-as-organization" approaches, contains two added advantages: (a) every student experiences managing; and (b) students produce an actual, usable product that provides visible, concrete feedback concerning the effectiveness of the organization. The article discusses how to implement this approach-specifically, how to integrate teaching with processes occurring within the organization and how to structure the class.
