Abstract
Robert Levering, Milton Moskowitz and Michael Katz's The 100 Best Companies to Work for in America is a recent popular book that should be considered for use in organizational behavior classes. The book provides a rich reservoir of information for which students demonstrate a natural curiosity. Its most promising features are several lists compiled at the end (e.g., the 10 best companies in pay, benefits, job security, a chance to move up, and ambience; the 100 best companies by industry). These lists provide starting-points for small-group discussions, class exercises, or student presentations. Two possible designs for using the book are suggested below.
