This article describes the use of an original experiential exercise inspired by Leading with Soul (Bolman & Deal, 1995, 2001). Through giving gifts from the heart to our coworkers and reports, we can give our own lives meaning and express our spiritual selves. In this exercise, students reflect on the gift they would like to give to an organization of which they are a member, possibly write a short paper or take notes about it, participate in a small group exercise and role-play in which they share their gifts, then engage in a large group discussion on the same topic. All directions and context along with samples of student gifts and reactions to the exercise are included.
