Abstract
Over the past decade, the daily pressures for the hospice team member have escalated as the demands to meet patient needs became more intense. Identifying strategies to successfully cope with this high stress job is not only a logical approach, it is now a necessity for improving one's physical and psychological well-being. Education in stress reduction begins with self-care. Ifwe can learn to heal ourselves, we will more effectively heal our patients. Healing beyond the physical sense.
