Abstract
Drawing while listening to music provides an opportunity for students to imagine and associate, leading to holistic listening experience. The personal qualitative listening experience triggered by music can be revealed in their drawings. In the process of representing of the listening experience through drawing, students can also increase their understanding of music. This article shares (a) the purposes of drawing activities, (b) the types of drawing responses, and (c) the representational characteristics shown in students’ drawings.
