Abstract
Arts integration has been a popular topic for many years. Music educators often find arts integration to be challenging, because it requires a great deal of time, necessitates collaboration with other teachers, and can unfortunately promote bias of one subject over another. However, integrating music with other subjects can offer many benefits to both students and teachers. Music educators can overcome some of the challenges of arts integration and effectively integrate other subjects by engaging in integration activities in smaller stages, seeking opportunities to integrate other subjects to enhance learning in the music classroom, involving colleagues in the music curriculum, and channeling their creativity.
