Abstract
The author reflects on his nearly 25 years of involvement in the design of simulation games and membership in NASA GA and ISA GA. He contends that there is a trend today to use games for more limited purposes, such as teaching and training. He notes that at the beginning games were used to make decisions about marriage, career exploration, hiring decisions, or deciding admission into college. He challenges his colleagues to return to days when games were taken seriously.
