This article addresses thefollowing question: Do one-session meetings remain "aggregates " or can they develop some "group"forms? The literature on phases of group development, one-session meetings, and the role of the worker in one-session meetings, as well as Lang's three-stage model of practice, are considered. It is concluded that the one-session meeting can develop specific group forms. Some conditions that will affect this process are noted, and implications for practice are indicated.
