An adaptive system for the control of nozzle melt pressure during the packing phase has been successfully designed, implemented, and experimentally tested for injection molding machines. It has shown that this system works well with different set points, different molds, and different barrel temperatures. This paper discusses the technical strategies in implementing the system together with some experimental results.
