Abstract
Although interest in integrating various clinical approaches into a unified practice model has been growing, little discussion has focused on the supervision necessary to facilitate such integration. The author describes a developmental model of clinical supervision of the novice therapist within the workplace with the goal of helping the therapist develop his or her personal integrated paradigm of family therapy. The model has multiple levels; the supervisor addresses clinical, supervisory, and developmental needs of the supervisor simultaneously as they emerge.
