Abstract
This study was based on a mailed questionnaire survey of 372 adoptive families, over two-thirds of which had at least one teen-age adoptee. It was shown that most adoptive parents were receptive to opening adoption records, in contrast to earlier findings. Reform of current concealment practices is advocated.
