Consumer Involvement in the Training of Social Work Students

Abstract

An exploratory project suggests the importance of including the perspective of the social service consumer in the training of students. A group of parents of mentally retarded children volunteered to tell students of their experiences in counseling and to assess the students' interviewing skills.
