Abstract
This essay provides one perception of the infrastructure of academic entrepreneurship in Europe from the perspective of an American academic working there. It is not intended to provide a comprehensive picture of the status of academic entrepreneurship in the various nations of Europe. That is best left to the Europeans themselves.
