Abstract
Research data from 228 respondents is reported on an employee size basis concerning both the utilization status and the “most valuable” status of 24 management tools. It appears that the small firms extensively utilize most of the tools and are somewhat comparable to the larger firms in the utilization of the management tools; surprisingly, the small firms even show greater utilization in a few instances. Differences between firm size categories are shown in the relative rankings of the “most valuable” tools. The study concludes that although a firm is small this fact need not preclude the use of the management tools.
