In the September 2014 issue of Journal of Veterinary Diagnostic Investigation, page 705 (abstract) and pages 706 and 711, the number of unaffected co-housed bears was erroneously reported as 3. There were in fact 4 unaffected co-housed bears (2 adult female, 1 juvenile male, and 1 adult male, all Asiatic black bears), bringing the total number of bears in the affected house to 18.
